Are you one of the many consumers who no longer use printed phone books?  Are you tired of receiving stacks of phone books every year that will never be used?  Want to know how to stop delivery of phone books?  You’ve come to the right place!

Printed yellow pages directories provide great value to many people.  For others, however, they are nothing but a waste and a nuisance.  Many people no longer use printed telephone directories, relying instead on online local directories.  However, directory companies continue to employ “saturation distribution” practices in their delivery of phone books. The net effect is that thousands of phone books are delivered every year that are never used.  It is estimated that approximately 540 million phone books are delivered each year — and over 700,000 tons of phone books are thrown out every year!

Where does this leave consumers who don’t want to receive print yellow pages directories and other printed phone books?  Eco Yellow Pages was formed to provide resources and information to consumers who want to stop delivery of phone books.  We advocate offering consumers a choice to opt out of receiving printed phone books.  Our mission is to bring awareness to opt-out options currently available, and to encourage more widespread adoption of opt-out policies.
